The Second Anglo-Dutch War - 1420 BC to 1320 BC

The presence of a least one Dutch Trireme in the Atlantic south of England has made us decide not to send our Cargo Ship to sea. We don't know whether it is safe to trade with Spain either....

In central Asia our Scout is sent exploring.
This pic shows a second Dutch Trireme off the NE coast of Ireland - nowhere is there a safe Trade Route.
1410 BC: Mathematics has been researched so we can now build Catapults :)
We select Masonry to be our next Technology project.
We have received a new Trireme and it is moved to protect our Crabs hex east of Dundee.
A view of NW Europe shows how few ground forces we have.....
1400 BC: We purchase an Archer in Plymouth - it takes most of my Gold reserves....
Why is the Ottoman Trireme hanging around?
We also have no idea how strong Spain is because we simply don't have enough troops to scout around....
Sorry, Ramesses but we are not a charity organisation!
1370 BC: In London we add a Trireme to the production queue and move it to the front of the queue - the Cargo Ship is delayed.
We can also found a Pantheon and we choose Sacred Waters which gives us +1 Happiness for each city we have on a river and since we have three cities on rivers.....
Western Europe at the end of my turn.
1360 BC: A Work Boat arrives in Plymouth and we order an Archer next.
1340 BC: Suleiman asks us to join him against William of Holland and we answer "gives us 10 turns to prepare".
The Forest is gone so our Worker constructs a Pasture on our Sheep hex next.
We accept a Declaration of Friendship with Arabia.....
....and in 1330 BC: YES we do agree to join Isabella against Holland - I'm not waiting for Suleiman because I want Spain as an ally.
I bring our Work Boat to Dundee where it improves a Crab resource hex . It is protected by a Trireme.
A Granary has been completed in Nantes and we build a Shrine next.
We move our Cargo Ship from London to its new Home City, Nantes.
The Dutch Triereme is no longer in the Biscaya - end of my turn.
Sorry, Attila but I am busy fighting Holland at the moment :)
1320 BC: The Dutch Trireme returns and we pounce on it. It was already damaged but now it is down to half-strength.
We keep our Cargo Ship in Nantes where it is safe.
What's Suleiman waiting for??
That ends our turn - until soon :)
