None of our cities are threatened at the moment so we want to concentrate on the Economy and with it the Happiness level of the Realm. The Marble hex in Ireland has its Quarry so we are sending our Worker to Scotland to boost the growth of Dundee.
Diplomatic small-talk but it is useful to be reminded who is friends with who....
1080 BC: We chop down a Forest in Scotland in order to speed-up production of the Granary in Dundee.
Our friend Attila has captured somebody's capital - someone we haven't met yet - Genghis Khan?
Sorry, guys but we don't want to go to war at the moment.
Well, we have nothing available for export....maybe Horses.
1050 BC: Now that the Farm has been repaired we can now construct an Iron Mine nearby.
Our repaired Trireme is placed on station NE of Dundee where it can monitor all movements from Europe into the North Atlantic.
We now have enough Gold to purchase the Iron hex on our border with Holland. Grab it before they do :)
A nice view of the Realm at the end of our turn.
1030 BC: A Work Boat has arrived in Plymouth and we use it to improve the nearby Whales hex - we receive +1 Food and +4 Happiness points.
In Plymouth we build a Composite Bowman next.
1020 BC: The acquisition of Whales also increases growth in London.
Isabella and William have signed a Peace Treaty and if you look carefully at the bottom of the pic you can see that Spain's second city, Barcelona, is now orange-coloured. It's Dutch!!! William has five cities now....
We make friends with Gandhi of India.
1010 BC: Now that is good news! Austria has declared war on Holland - just don't give the Dutch another city, please.
Now we make friends with Maria Theresa :)
990 BC: Dundee has grown to 3 citizens and a new Work Boat from Nantes is used to improve the adjacent Crab hex. We now have two Crab hexes so one can be exported :)
We order a second Catapult in Nantes and that ends our turn.
Austria wants to swap Crabs for Wine - an excellent deal so we agree :)
980 BC: With the Forest hex gone we can now construct a Mine for Dundee.
My Happiness Level is now +14 so the Colosseum on order in London is no longer so urgent - we add a couple of Warriors to the queue and when they have arrived we can upgrade them to Swordsmen.
970 BC: We renew our Trade Route and decline Attila's invitation to battle Darius.
That ends this profitable post. Until soon...
