We like nations that pay up-front - we need the Gold in our war-chest :)
More good news: Suleiman of the Ottomans has declared war on Holland and our friend Attila has made friends with two of our other friends - Sweden and Morocco.
1240 BC: Dundee and Plymouth have grown - more good news. There's another Dutch Trireme in the vicinity but our assets are well defended.
The Dutch Trireme attacked Dundee! That is what we call a suicide mission.
1230 BC: So we counter-attack. First we bombard a Warrior in S. France....
....then we hit their Trireme off the coast of Scotland.
We also move a Trireme north to cover our Crab resource.
A new Social Policy is due and we select Representation - amongst other benefits we start a Golden Age which means more Gold and faster production.
The Dutch Trireme is barely afloat. Their turn now....
We are not interested in another conflict at the moment and especially not against Catherine.
1220 BC: Our Archer is promoted and we finish-off the enemy Trireme.
With the threat gone we can move our second Trireme south again.
That ends my turn.
1210 BC: We defend our Crab resource hex and place our Tiremes on Alert status....
...and we learn that Gandhi is now friends with Arabia.
1200 BC: Our second Cargo Ship has arrived in London and we move its Home City to Plymouth.
We order a Catapult in London next and that's all for this turn.
1190 BC: We establish a second lucrative Trade-Route to Marrakech - this time from Plymouth.
Oh...William already has a Catapult but as soon as it embarks I will blow it out of the water.
William offers peace and since we have no way to gain better terms we accept the offer.
We do consider this a victory because we have sunk all three of their Triremes and have thus gained complete Naval Supremacy over Holland. Our economy is also better than theirs. Cheerio until next the next post.
