Another Leader is encountered and it is time to look at our Statistics...
3085 BC: No big surprises here....no comment required.
3010 BC: Another Social Policy and I choose Republic which boosts Production.
Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden offers a Declaration of Frendship and we agree.
We have the smallest army but we are alone on this island....
2830 BC: The Farm has been built so we are now building a Copper Mine.
The Granary has also been completed so a Shrine is scheduled next.
We purchase these two sea hexes in order to ensure that we control the English Channel and the southern passage to the Atlantic.
Work in progress!
We agree to a Declaration of Friendship with Egypt.
London has grown again....
....and we choose the Deer hex in the North.
No Isabella - we might need Austria as a friend one day.
2650 BC: Great! Sailing is available - we choose Animal Husbandry next for a second Trade Route and to check if we have Horses on the island.
Next turn we follow the Shrine with my first warship, a Trireme. We can't build a Cargo Ship because we haven't found any ports yet....
2500 BC: Our Copper Mine has been build so we sacrifice a Forest to speed up production in London.
Sorry but our name is not Rockefeller....
2470 BC: Barbarians sighted so we plan to greet them with....
....a 21 gun salute. Got to tell our Guards to stand down.
So we have our Trireme - now an Archer is required.
2450 BC: Our Trireme has discovered two Dutch Ports - we need trading partners.
2420 AD: We have researched Animal Husbandry....
....and now Optics is next - The Great Lighthouse and the ability to move over water and it will be ready on Game Turn 136 - much earlier than if we had chosen the direct route as shown in our first post.
Our Trireme has also found Reykjavik - the 30 Gold is gratefully received :)
So that is all for this post. Time for tea :)
