Third Anglo-Dutch War (II) - 180 BC to 170 BC

One's Scout is now in Egypt so we send it further to Central Asia :)
As predicted, the Dutch Spearman occupied our 'undefended' Iron Mine. It is bombarded three times....
....then our Swordsman delivers the coup de grace.
In the North Sea our Trireme attacks the embarked Dutch Worker a second time.
Our second Trireme moves out of range of the Dutch Catapult.
Off the coast of Greenland our damaged Trireme begins its journey home to be repaired while a fresh Trireme attacks its Dutch adversary.
Now to Barcelona - the Trireme that was bombarded by the Dutch receives a well-earned promotion.
Our Bowman bombards Barcelona then a Catapult joins in.
Three Triremes bombard the port city - we forgot to use our second Catapult - silly!
Finally our Swordsman assaults and captures Barcelona.
We annex the city, rename it Faro and place a Courthouse on the production queue.
The unused Catapult is dispatched to the Nantes region.
Negotiations with Austria provide us with a lot of Gold for our war chest :)
A deal with Morocco is also very profitable....
The situation in western Europe at the end of my turn.
170 BC: No, Askia! The Gold is there to fund our war, not yours!
Did you really believe that we would give Barcelona back to you? You should have joined us against William!
That ends this post and we are very pleased with the progress of the war. Time for a cup of tea :)
