We have received a new Catapult in London and it sent in the direction of Spain. It can't harm to have more firepower in the region. A Warrior will be built next in London.
280 BC: We also check where the Dutch Trireme is - there are two of our Cargo Ships in the vicinity.
No Catherine, we have no desire to attack Attila but we do understand your concern.
After all, he has just captured a third capital city from some nation.
190 BC: A Warrior from London has arrived in the Azores and we place it on alert.
In anticipation of a counter-attack in northern Nantes region we rearrange our forces there. The Iron Mine on the border with the Netherlands is now a kill zone for any Dutch forces.
The war is triggered by landing a Bowman on the coast north of Barcelona.
....and William is not amused :)
A Swordsman is landed east of Barcelona followed by a Catapult on the hex north of the Bowman.
Time to deal with that Dutch Trireme. It is attacked by one of our Triremes - a second is brought to the scene demonstrating the value of the 7 movement point range of our warships.
In the North Sea a third Trireme attacks an embarked Dutch Catapult while a fourth attacks a Worker.
The assault on Barcelona is begun by two Triremes and the Catapult on Madeira.
Finally, two more Triremes attack Barcelona.
The situation at the end of my turn. Barcelona's defences are below half-strength.
The Dutch counterattack: a Trireme is bombarded by the garrison of Barcelona and there is an indecisive naval battle off Greenland's coast.
Shaka can have fun with Ethiopia without me.....
....did he win or loose against the Songhai?
That end's this post, guys - we fill confident that we shall take Barcelona next turn. Cheerio :)
